There is nothing quite like getting a new business off the ground to take your brain away.

Since the end of January I have been in the midst of re-opening my family's restaurant in Geyserville, CA. My grandparents opened Catelli’s in 1936, my father took over in the mid sixties and ran it until the late eighties. Now, 20 years later my brother Nicholas and I have re-opened Catelli’s! It was a culinary challenge to weave 3 generations of recipes together. (My grandmother's, my father's and my own). The town has a “memory in its mouth” according to one of my friends. There are people who are in their 90’s that are showing up and saying “this tastes just like your Nonni’s minestrone.”

It looks like we have done it! It has been a labor of love and quite a journey. Geyserville,CA is a tiny town in the center of about 80 fantastic wineries in north Sonoma County.
