Bronco Beans

Bronco Beans

Ingredients:
½ cup finely chopped onion
2 slices turkey bacon cut into small pieces
½ tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
2 fifteen oz. cans pinto, kidney, or bean of choice or a mixture, rinsed
½ cup pureed tomato (recommendation: fire roasted)
¼ cup pure maple syrup
Salt and fresh pepper to taste

Process:
1. Sauté the onion and turkey bacon together in a medium pot.
2. After a few minutes, add the extra-virgin olive oil.
3. Sauté for a few more minutes and then add the beans, syrup and tomato.
4. Cook for about 10 minutes.
5. Taste for salt and pepper.
